We have been with Miss Garin for 5 years now. Our daughters are very busy with many different extracurricular activities and when quarantine happened, many of their activities moved to an online platform such as Zoom. Miss Garin did an outstanding job transitioning to online lessons and of all the activities that my daughters had to participate online, Miss Garin’s online lessons are head and shoulders above the rest. She keeps my daughters on task and focused and moves through the lesson in a very efficient manner. My daughters are never bored because she keeps them engaged the whole lesson. She also takes the time in between each song to make small talk to keep a great relationship with my daughters. We absolutely recommend Garin Piano Studio!

"I really can’t say enough good things about Paulette Garin and her amazing teaching abilities. I am an adult student. I had been hovering at the intermediate level since college in the 80s. I took lessons off and on, but never really connected with a teacher who motivated me to do better until Paulette. She has amazing insights and suggestions, and I find the things she teaches me about one piece translate and everything that comes after, so I am consistently playing better, even on my first time through a brand new piece. I still have so far to go, but I am thrilled that I have her to help me.
I also want to say that the virtual lessons are amazing. We really have not missed a beat moving from in person to virtual. Paulette has done so much to come up with good technology to make the lessons effective and fun. Sometimes my husband and I think about retiring and moving, and I am so happy to think that Paulette can be my teacher, no matter where I am located.
Though I am an adult, I have observed Paulette teaching a very young student and also a teen, and she is tremendously effective at both, as well as, of course, adults. If you are looking for a teacher for yourself or your child — no matter where you are located — I highly recommend Paulette Garin!"

She is very welcoming, friendly, generous and always shows a great deal of interest in each of her students' lives. She encouraged me to do my best, and supported me outside of piano; she even came to see the musical I was in!
Her musical and teaching backgrounds really help her students excel, no matter their age, and she makes learning the piano fun. Each year she holds a recital for students and their families to showcase their progress and their talents. As a native Kenoshan, Ms. Garin always has an eye out for ways her students can participate in the local music culture. This past October, she and 8 of her students of all different ages performed a 9-part song (on 4 pianos) in a Halloween-themed concert at Carthage College. It was fantastic!
While taking lessons with her, I participated in Solo and Ensemble and the Wisconsin Music Teacher's Association's District Auditions.
Even though I only took lessons with Ms. Garin for a short amount of time, I learned a great deal about piano and about life. I, like many of her former students, still make sure to catch up with her when I come back to Kenosha because she's truly a wonderful teacher, human and friend."
